Although sometimes overlooked, the ability to understand people is critical to any real success in sales. With a career that spans over a decade and encompasses both national and international experience, Clare possesses the innate ability to interact with, and identify the skills of sales people in order to elicit the best possible performance from sales teams.
In 1990 Clare began working for international pharmaceutical powerhouse Aventis Pharma (formerly Hoechst Marion Roussel/Roussel Uclaf). This would mark the beginning of Clare’s eleven year relationship with the company, and her promotion within the ranks during this time. While working for Aventis Pharma, the company underwent a significant merger and this would precipitate one of the greatest challenges and successes of Clare’s career to date. In order to achieve a consolidation of approach within the company and its merging factions, Clare was responsible for both the implementation of a consistent approach to all aspects of the company’s day to day running and sales, and the creation of a clear vision from the top. Although incredibly challenging, Clare was instrumental in the success of this endeavour.
Since working for Aventis Pharma, Clare has gone on to hold top sales and managerial positions in a variety of companies. In 2003 Clare held the position of Senior Manager in Strategic Sales at Bankwest. This position would see her utilize her depth of knowledge in sales to assist in the internal shift of the company towards a more sales focused enterprise.
In 2005 as CEO of Allied Medical Limited, Clare brought about the establishment and growth of the company’s existing Sales and Marketing function to improve the overall strategy of the company. Under Clare’s management, the company achieved an overall sales increase of 40 per cent.
